“I’ve had three big babies, all uncomplicated pregnancies, all born vaginally, no tearing.
My first, Flynn, was born in hospital. He came posterior after 32 1/2 hours of labor at 9 pounds, 21 1/2 inches. His birth story: http://oneyawn.blogspot.com/2010/05/learning-curve-my-hospital-birth-story.html
My second, Adelynn, was born at home after 22 hours of labor, 36 hours after SROM. She was 10 pounds, 2 ounces, 22 inches. Her birth story: http://oneyawn.blogspot.com/2011/12/feeling-thankful-healing-homebirth.html
My third, Declan, was born (a little under two weeks ago!) at home into his dad’s and my hands. He was 11 pounds, 3 ounces, 20 1/2 inches. Despite his size, he was my shortest and easiest labor at around 5 1/2 hours (2 1/2 was intense)! It was my first labor I really trusted my body and just let things happen. It was amazing. 🙂
